Benefits of Membership
The object of the PCRS is to promote research into all aspects of palliative care and to facilitate its dissemination (see our Constitution). Membership is open to individuals or organisations. The subscription period is from 1st January - 31st December. The fee is £20 per annum (£10 for the unwaged). The benefits of membership include:

  • Reduced registration fees at conferences organised, or jointly organised by the PCRS (note: individuals who are considering attending at least one such conference during the year will often find it economically advantageous to join the PCRS simply in order to benefit from the reduced conference fee)

  • Access to a list of members' contact details and research interests to facilitate multi-professional and multi-centre research initiatives.

  • A newsletter twice per year

  • Reduced subscription fees to the journal "Mortality" - see links

How to join

  1. Firstly, fill out a Membership Application form (which can be downloaded from this website) with all your personal contact details and research interests.Download the bank mandate form from the website and complete your bank's details in section A and other details in section C. The current membership fee is £20 annually and it would be appreciated if the payment date could be within January and February each year.

  4. Alternatively, forward a cheque for the amount. Forward the form/s & payment to Dr Mike Bennett, Treasurer PCRS, address details on the application form.

  5. The form/s will then be processed and if you require a receipt (tick box on the Membership form) this will be forwarded to you in due course.
